A sincere thank you to Fire-Dex for donating 108 new firefighter
helmets to The Douglas Mendel Cambodian Relief Fund to allow the
firefighters in Cambodia to do their jobs in a safer and more proud
manner.
Fire-Dex® is proud of our service and the quality we put into our
products. Fire-Dex®, LLC has been in business since 1983, initially
producing welding gloves. The company entered the fire service market
with our fire fighter gloves in 1984, knit hoods in 1985 and gear bags
and suspenders in 1986. Fire-Dex® started manufacturing fire fighting
clothing, proximity clothing and EMS clothing in 1988: structural fire
fighting gear now represents our largest product line. In
2001, we expanded our product line to include Wildland fire fighting
clothing, and in 2003, added USAR (search & rescue apparel).
Fire-Dex®, LLC built new corporate headquarters in Medina, OH, in
July of 1997 and is one of the largest fire fighter clothing
manufacturers in North America. Fire-Dex® delivered a 19,000-piece
order for jackets, the largest order to date in the world, and we
welcome the opportunity to surpass this record. The company is
currently positioned to double its capacity again in our current
facility.
Fire-Dex® was awarded the ISO 9001 registration in November 2000 and
upgraded to the 2000 edition in December 2001. Fire-Dex® is the first
in the industry to make the upgrade to the 2000 edition.
