The Douglas Mendel Cambodian Relief Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) charity.

Firefighters: I bring over donated bunker pants and coats, boots, helmets, gloves and suspenders for fire stations in Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, Kampot, Battambang, Siem Reap and Ban Lung (Ratanakiri Province).

In 3/06 I shipped a donated fire truck from Red, White and Blue Fire in Breckenridge, Colorado to Sihanoukville, Cambodia. For 2007 I had a fire truck built in Phnom Penh that was donated to the station in Ban Lun, Ratanakiri Province.

Disadvantaged Children: I bring donated clothes, stuffed animals, dental and medical supplies, latex gloves, vitamins and supplements and school supplies to M’lop Tapang in Sihanoukville, Cambodia.

I am grateful to all of my fantastic donors. Two donors in particular I would like to acknowledge are Fire-Dex® who donated 108 new firefighter helmets in 2009 to The Douglas Mendel Cambodian Relief Fund to allow the firefighters in Cambodia to do their jobs in a safer and more proud manner and Red, White and Blue (Breckenridge, CO) who donated a Fire Truck and bunker gear in 2006.
