| Stephanie Mendel is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has
lived most of her life in the San Francisco Bay Area. She and her late
husband met in Ann Arbor, Michigan, married in 1959, and had
thirty-five years together. They have two grown sons and two grandsons.
Stephanie taught writing privately and now serves as an advisor on the
board of the Marin Poetry Center. Her work has appeared in many literary
journals as well as The Hospice of Marin News, The Stanford University
Hospital Medical Staff Update, The Western Journal of Medicine, The
Saturday Evening Post and The Poet’s Companion, published by Norton in
1997. |
